32 miles at an average speed of around 12 mph. Starting from The Marshalswick Community Centre at The Quadrant, we'll head through Sandrigebury, Sandridge, Peter's Green, Breachwood Green & Whitwell before having a cafe stop at The Homestead in Kimpton (after about 20 miles). We'll then return to St Albans via Ayot St Lawrence & Ayot St Peter.
The ride is mostly on quiet roads and lanes.
Meet at 9.30am in the garden outside the Marshalswick Community Centre at The Quadrant. There is a small public car park between the Community Centre and M&S with free parking, and plenty of residential street parking nearby. However, please don't park in the main Quadrant car park or the streets immediately outside the shops as parking there is restricted to 3 hours. There are also public toilets next to the Community Centre.
Helmets are compulsory on this ride. Please bring something to drink, equipment to deal with any punctures, money & a lock for the cafe stop. Please ensure your bike is in good working order and you have an emergency back up or taxi number to call in case of any mechanical issues that we can't fix.
