Starting from - The start point is the car parking area by the rugby club and amphitheatre on Broadway in Caerleon. If you are not familiar with it, come into Caerleon and follow the one way system until you see the museum on your right and the left turn is opposite and signposted for the amphitheatre. The parking is just down past the school. There are toilets here though it is a bit random sometimes if they are open!, NP18 1AY

The ride sets out from Caerleon along the Usk Road which we follow all of the way to Usk. When we reach Usk, we turn right over the bridge and then left onto Abergavenny Road. We ride along here until just after the chainbridge and then we turn left and then right to make use of the little lane running alongside the mainer road for a short while. Then we rejoin the main road and continue until the right turn just after we cross the river. At the end of that lane, we turn right and then left to head to Llanarth. Just as we enter the village, we turn right and head to Great Oak. After that village, we continue to follow the lane until we rejoin the Old Raglan Road just past the garden centre.
Once we have had our lunch, we continue along the Old Raglan Road to Raglan and then, in the middle of Raglan, we turn right and cycle past the Farm Park. Just as we start to climb the nasty looking hill ahead, we turn right and go past the gliding club. Then, we turn right and head along the road back towards Usk before turning left onto the flood route. At the end of this section, we turn left and follow the road to Llantrisant. Then it's on to Bulmore Road and back into Caerleon.

This is the old version of the Tour De Gwent bronze with a few little tweaks.

This is a pure road riding route though they are mostly country lanes with some stretches on B roads.

We will stop at Raglan garden centre for lunch at around the halfway point.

Please wear a helmet and bring along some money and a lock for our lunch stop. It is also a good idea to carry a spare tube just in case.

We never leave anyone behind
