Sankey Canal ride to Fiddlers Ferry

Starting at the rear of the Jubilee Hub, crossing Winwick Road at the lights nea to the college, into Bewsey. We will then join the Sankey Canal near to Hodgkison Avenue. There's a bridge where we will need to dismount and manoeuvre the bikes to the other side, where we pick up the canal path again. There is a crossing over the railway but this is safe.
We will then ride down the canal path to the Ferry Tavern, where we can stop for refreshments. This will be 4.6 miles in total, so if people want to carry onto Spike Island we can, but if not we can turn around and trace our route back.

Please note if the weather is awful this ride may be cancelled last minute.
We will be travelling at a steady pace, to include all riders

Canal paths, so hybrid or mountain bike would be more suitable.

Helmets are advisable and if the weather is questionable, layers and gloves
