We will reverse this ride as a clockwise route. Children welcome in accompanied with adults.
After Leaving the library the route will head over the red footbridge bridge to access the cycle-friendly paths alongside Gullivers World Theme Park. At the path junction at Sankey Valley Park we will then turn off to cycle parallel to the railway line. Passing through residential housing, we then use the cycle paths to head past Warrington West Station and on to Whittle Brook Park.
This path then heads west to Barrow Hall Lane and a woodland path to Lingley Green. Thsi marks our turning point and we follow the cycle paths to and further woodland tracks skirting Nine Woods and Mary Anne Meadows, to emerge back at out staring point.

Route rating

0 stars (0) Reviews

A circular scenic cycle ride through woodland and on cycle paths away from traffic.

Mostly segregated cycle paths on flat terrain. Only a very short section of road is used to access cycle-friendly paths. The terrain has some off road sections through woodland and the speed will be reduced in these areas.

Stops can be made along the route if people want to stop and take photographs.

Helmets are mandatory if under 18 and British Cycling recommend helmets should be worn at all times. Suitable clothing and footwear for the weather. Gloves should also be packed. A basic tool kit, spare inner tube, puncture outfit. `Mobile phone. Bike lock (for outside the library)

First-timers welcome!
