Sandford - Drumclog - Heron - Gilmourton - Sandford

We shall be leaving from the Sandford Hall and immediately crossing onto quiet country roads which shall take us along the Roman Road to Drumclog. We shall then cross the A71 onto more country roads which involves a steady climb towards the Heron where we shall stop for a well deserved coffee and cake! We shall leave the Heron and turn right towards the A71 where we shall travel on the A71 for half a mile before turning left back onto quiet country roads and heading towards Gilmourton. Once we reach Gilmourton, it's a steady pace back to Sandford.

This is a 22 mile ride along country roads with a few tough climbs.

Most of the route is on very quiet country roads with just a very small section to cover on the A71.

Coffee and cake stop at the Heron so bring cash.

Please remember to bring your helmet and warm clothing - a waterproof jacket and some warm gloves.
