Pendlbury

A fascinating glimpse at some of the local area's industrial heritage and history. Cycling back in time, this route takes you through Livia and Clifton Country Park, past the historic River Irwell and its sculpture trail, to the old Wet Earth Colliery which was used until the 1920's. As you ride past the old canals, it's not hard to imagine the busy lives of forebears during the Industrial Revolution.
