About the route
Starting point
Walton Park, Sale near the scout hut on Raglan Road and behind the rowing club. There is free parking near the scout hut.
Come and join like minded ladies on this mostly traffic free ride from Sale.
We will cycle along the Bridgewater canal, the river Mersey and the Trans Pennine Trail to Dunham. A short ride along the road will take us to Dunham. After a stop off for a tea cake at a cafe we will head back to the Bridgewater canal along a short country road. This ride can be a bit muddy if it has been raining.
This ride is approx 12 miles and is mainly flat. We always go at the pace of the slowest rider and will have plenty of rest stops and time to chat.
Bring a drink and a spare inner tube if you can (but its not essential. Please wear a helmet and suitable clothing.
Please arrive at 9.45 for introductions and bike check so that we can set off on time.
