The Guild Wheel should need no introduction - it is a brilliant piece of cycling and walking infrastructure that Preston is blessed with. The route is primarily off road, completely encircles Preston, and for this ride we will be navigating in a clockwise direction from Avenham Park.

It is mainly off-road and traffic free, providing a scenic and safe cycling and walking route for all the family to use.

We will pause en route for water and snack stops to keep us going. There will be a longer stop at the Final Whistle Café, UCLAN at approximately 2/3rds distance before the final homeward leg.

Bring a roadworthy bike, helmet and clothing to suit the Lancashire weather. Mudguards are advised. Basic bike tools and an inner tube to suit your wheel size recommended. Bring snacks and drinks to keep you going. Parking is available at Frenchwood Recreation Ground opposite Christ the King Catholic School, postcode for Car Park is PR1 4LX. Please note the car park has a height restriction barrier, so please take care when entering the car park. From the Car Park head to the River and Turn right, then follow the Guild Wheel to the Pavillion Café / Start Point.

We never leave anyone behind
