RVJ Buckshaw Jailhouse Rock

A firm favourite amongst those who have done this route before. Departing and reentering Buckshaw Village via shared cycle way, a short trip through a quiet estate, and then through leafy Worden Park. Following bridleways out towards the prisons of Wymott and Garth, a lap of the prisons, and then returning via Paradise Park and bridleway alongside the River Lostock.

At this time of year expect mud, water, puddles, and lots of fun! This will be our final ride this year.

You're going to prison - well, just visiting!

The route is as traffic free as we can make it. Utilising shared cycle way, bridle path, off road elements, and some local quiet roads. In the wetter months mudguards are recommended (strongly advised) and off road tyres. Suitable for gravel bikes, MTBs, and hybrids with off road tyres.

We will pause en-route for drinks/snacks however we have no set stopping place - just as and when.

Helmets are mandatory, and children must be accompanied by an adult who is riding. Bring a bike, drink, a snack, and it is recommended you have a spare innertube for your tyres.
