DN9 3DA

Finningley Village Hall car park, Rectory Lane, Finningley, Doncaster

This is our final weekend ride as part of Get Doncaster Cycling 2015 so it would be fantastic to be able to conclude this series of rides by having all (or most) of our 70+ members attend - would make for a great final report back to Doncaster Council. So, we're going to be meeting up at the Village Hall in Finningley at 10.00am with a view to setting off on the ride at between 10.15 and 10.30. In all you'll be riding some 18 miles on what is predominantly flat terrain, so there's only really the winds (if any) to contend with. As usual we'v.e mixed things up a little so there's a combination of on and off road riding, taking in some wonderful tracks through the countryside, as well as some quiet and not so quiet country lanes. There is even an opportunity to do a bit of plane spotting en route. There's a choice of pub stops, with the Angel at Misson or Cross Keys at Wroot (or if you are really thirsty, both!) The terrain makes this ride totally unsuitable to any cycles with narrow wheels and/or narrow tyres eg road (racer) bikes. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- IMPORTANT INFO FOR PARTICIPANTS! Make sure you wear your helmet (this is compulsory, if you have no helmet you wont be able to ride with us) and appropriate clothing for the weather (if you have any bright or hi-viz then wear that). As usual we do expect you to have ensured your bike is roadworthy and that you have carried out basic pre ride checks; you should also carry at least one spare inner tube, a pump, and tools to enable you to change a tube if necessary. Dont forget too to bring money for refreshments and a mobile 'phone. DISCLAIMER:- This is a purely social group of like minded people sharing a love of cycling, it is not a formal organisation nor does it have any form of legal structure. We do not profess to be trained ride leaders but do have experience of doing so. You are free to choose to ride with us but in doing so please note that you do so in acceptance that this is entirely at your own risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any loss or injury suffered as a result of your participation.
