We head off from start point head over too Bentley on the Doncaster greenway then onto the TPT sampling beautiful scenic views off the former mining pit top nature reserve, staying on the trail around beautiful countryside villages heading towards Barnby Dunn passing through Thorpe in balne. Passing over canals and railway crossings etc . We ride along a canal towpath towards long sandal then follow canal towards the entrance to rockware glass claylane . We head towards new cycle infrastructure taking us towards sandal beat woods then head towards the entrance to rise hill rise, an option to experience the sandal beat bomb holes . We head towards the nature reserve at potteric Carr going through cantley bessacarr on the red path going over mallard bridge to get to the cafe stop. Return journey going on dearne valley trail towards conisbrough viaduct down towards lower Don then we encounter nursery lane climb to sprotbrough village then over to cusworth hall spectacular grounds across bridleway then up towards cusworth village we head towards the Roman ridge trail back up towards highfields A lovely country trail heading over through the brodsworth former pit site lovely nature reserve heading over the A1 motorway back up Doncaster road to our start point at markham grange garden centre .
Mainly off road, new cycle infrastructure quiet roads in country settings TPT and greenways
Cafe stop at the kingfisher cafe at potteric Carr nature reserve. Plenty of opportunities to stop to take in fluids and photo opportunities.
Helmets are advisable and bring tools and spare inner tubes , bring cash and card for cafe . And bring a bike lock to lock your bike up at the cafe
