RSF family friend ride

Gentle ride from Towneley Hall Country Park, Burnley; meet on the Riverside car park at 10-00am (£1-00 for all day parking). Following a swift cuppa in the Towneley Park Garden Centre we will start the ride at 10-30am. First down the Park's long drive to join the towpath of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal and then beside Pendle Water to Padiham for another cuppa in the tea room within Gawthorpe Hall. Next, joining the old railway route, now a cycleway, we will head for Gannow to re-join the canal back to the park. This run is thirteen and a half gentle miles and is roughly 85% traffic free. Our return will be timed for about 1-30pm. The long range forecast is good for the whole week ahead.
