Starting point

LS29 6HS

Menston park by the play area

We start at Menston park, head through Guiseley and climb Otley Chevin via Carlton Lane. The route then takes us through Bramhope, Alwoodley Lane and Wigton Lane and on to Roundhay Park. We can then have a well earned coffee and cake at the lovely lakeside cafe. Our return route is almost the same as our outward ride although we cycle along York Gate to get down the Chevin and back to Menston. This ride has two fairly big climbs and some main road cycling, so is suitable for confident cyclists. We are using this as a training ride for an upcoming sportive to improve our stamina and pace, and as a test ride for a future challenging Breeze option.
