Our ride starts at Station Road Carpark in Rossett. We head into Marford and make our way to Holt then over to Carden then to Bangor-on-dee and loop back round to Holt. There will be a stop at Lost Barn Cafe and if wanted another stop in Holt or at Cwtch in Rossett.

There will be a mixture of quiet lanes and main roads, care is to be taken on the lanes and if it has rained the night before, pot holes may not be as visible.

We start off going up Marford Hill, so if it is chilly we will soon warm up. This is the main big climb of the ride, the rest of the route is a little up and down. Take the hills at your own pace. After Marford Hill, we will regroup at the top near the co-op. No one is left behind. Although this ride is open to anyone, the pace will be 11-13mph and therefore it might not be suitable if you are new to cycling and you're not used to this distance.

By booking onto this ride you agree that: you will act responsibly and adhere to the rules of the road and countryside; you acknowledge that it is your responsibility to ensure that any manoeuvre that you make is carried out safely; you confirm that you are fit and healthy enough to participate in the ride; you confirm that you have read and are aware of the British Cycling Risk Assessment policy your cycle is in a safe, legal and roadworthy condition (see GCN’s 6 Checks Before You Ride); you have read British Cycling advice on riding in a group; you understand that British Cycling cannot be held responsible for any personal injury, accident, loss, damage or public liability during the ride. You are responsible for your own safety.

Helmets are required. On the day we suggest that you should bring: wet weather wear and warm clothing a spare inner tube, a pump and tyre levers some food and drink to keep you going, money for emergencies (and possibly lunch) a mobile phone and that you should carry details of your address and an emergency telephone contact number, just in case.
