Free, women-only bike rides led by experienced Breeze Champions. They are a great way to get started in cycling or to improve your skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist.

Leave Pavilion and head towards tram bridge, cross the bridge Head up tram road to Brown Edge Lane. Cross road and go towards Bamberbridge football ground. Take the cycle path and go under the railway and at end of path turn left and left again following cycle path signs. Almost immediately go left over wooden bridge and follow path to its end. Go straight ahead on the road and turn right into kingsway just before the t junction. Take first left and follow this to the t junction . Go straight across the road then take the second right towards the car park then go left on to path towards withy park and leisure centre. Go through the carpark and turn right on to Brindle road stay on this road going straight through the mini roundabout, swing left onto Bank head lane at the railway crossing. Go under the Motorway and continue to the cross roads . Go right onto Gregson Lane. Climb this road crossing railway and then veer right onto Hill House Lane stay on this to its end then turn right. Head down this road crossing over the motorway and taking next left at a church, follow this road to its end then turn right onto Birchin lane. Follow this to its end and turn left on to Chorley old rd take the 3rd right Cow well ln and go left at end. Cross the road at crossing and go right to join factory lane. Join the cycle path through Cuerden Valley and take the path left at the Mill ruins. Follow this path until it takes you to Dawson Ln. Cross this to the cycle path and walk up the steps, now follow this path turning right at football pitches , follow this to its end then go right and cross at the crossing onto the cycle path. Go right and stay on this until you have crossed the motorway then take next left onto Langdale lane. Stay on this to its end and go left onto Holt Brow becoming Runshaw Hall ln at the t junction go right onto Runshaw ln. Follow this until Flag lane, turn right onto this and then go right at the t junction then almost immediately left onto Holker Ln. Go left at end onto Ulnes Walton ln stay on this to its end. At the t junction go right onto Southport rd, follow this into croston going right at second mini roundabout. Turn left at signs for industrial park to go to the café. Return: make your way back to Bretherton rd and turn left. At bend in rd go straight to join a quiet lane. Shortly turn right into another quiet lane and follow this as it takes you to Bretherton. Turn right then left at antiques shop, now on Marl cop. Cross over North rd onto Doles lane. Follow this as it twists and turns until you pass the church at Much Hoole go right here and make your way through the houses always turning right to emerge at Walmer Bridge. Go along the cycle path to Gill lane . Turn right onto Gill lane then eventually go left onto Wholesome lane, follow this as it becomes Long Moss lane . At t junction turn right onto chain house lane. stay on this road crossing Penwortham way, it then becomes Cootes lane. At the lights at t junction go right then left at next set. . At mini roundabout go left . Follow this road as it becomes a cycle path. Immediately after passing under the old tram road go through the wooden gate on the left to join this path and go right following the path back to Avenham park. This rides is aimed at women who are confident on a bike and want to extend the length of their rides. We will aim for an average speed of 10-11 miles an hour.   Please bring some water and be prepared for cold/wet weather conditions. Riders are advised to wear a helmet and it is compulsory for those under 18 to wear a helmet. Please carry a spare inner tube and tools necessary to carry out a puncture repair.
