Starting point

West Yorkshire
LS13 1HU

Steady ride from Rodley to Apperley Bridge starting along the canal towpath then turning off at Calverley Bridge to cross the River Aire via the old packhorse bridge. Continues up Calverley Lane and left onto Low Hall Road, then turns right onto Knott Lane, which is a steady climb including some gravelly and uneven sections - a good starter challenge for budding MTBers! After 750m, the route then takes a left turn and continues along Woodlands Drive, which is a pleasant mostly traffic-free tarmaced lane through a wooded area, emerging at the A658 near Apperley Bridge. After a short downhill section on the main road, we'll use the toucan crossing to turn right and reach Apperley Road, leading us onto the Leeds/Liverpool canal towpath and back to our starting point at Rodley. Refreshment stop optional at the halfway point (Apperley Bridge) or back at Rodley.
