Rockets Women's Sunday Winter Ride- January (Average speed 12-14 mph/ 19-22kph)

Same route as last month as we had to cut it short due to the weather. Fingers crossed the weather is kinder to us this time around!

Meet inside of Rockets and Rascals for 0915 and grab yourself a espresso and chat to the other ladies taking part in this ride. Any queries please ask ride leader or staff in the store.

The ride will take us out to Sparkwell, Cornwood, Ivybridge, back road to Ermington, down A379 towards Yealmpton, turn off for Battisborough Cross, then turn off to Membland, which should bring us out at Bridgend (top end of the estuary between Noss Mayo and Newton Ferrers), up the hill and back towards Yealmpton. We can then either turn down towards Kitley caves or go straight on to Yealmpton. Then back to Rockets via Cattedown, to keep us off Gdynia Way.

Try and cycle in single file or two abreast and be aware of sharing the road with other road users and pedestrians.

Average speed 12-14 mph/ 19-22kph. Road bikes only!!! We ride for fun with a no drop policy, which means these rides are not suitable for training or racing. However, this ride is not for beginners and it is expected that all riders are able to comfortably ride for 2 hours at a steady pace before signing up for this ride. Please turn up to the ride with bike in good working order, helmet, spare tubes, tyre levers and mini pump. Please wear clothing suitable for the weather.
