Road Ride - Worksop/Elmton/Clumber Loop with Cafe Stop

This road bike ride starts from Gateford in Worksop, taking in various local villages including Thorpe Salvin, Elmton and Langwith. There will be a lovely cafe stop at Carburton Tea Rooms at approximately 20 miles. We pass through Clumber before heading back to our start point - approx 30 miles in total. Please note that this ride is all on road, so please only sign up if you are confident cycling on the roads. There are some hills involved, one of which is particularly tough - we can get off and walk if we need to.

Please wear comfortable clothing suited to the weather. It is recommended that you carry spare inner tubes, puncture repair kit and a multi tool, just in case you have any mechanical issues. Please check before the ride, that your bike is in a road worthy condition.

It’s a good idea to bring some water and you may also want to bring a snack if you think your energy levels may need topping up along the way. Please bring some money if you want to buy refreshments/cake at the café stop.

Wearing a helmet is highly recommended, though not essential.

As the weather has been cold/icy of late, a decision will be taken on the morning of the ride as to whether the ride will go ahead as your safety is of paramount importance. Please text me on - 07789 778857 - if you sign up for this ride, so that if the weather is particularly bad on the morning on the ride, I will message you before to advise if this ride is cancelled.
