Starting point

Lancashire
BL6 7SL

The route is entirely within the Rivington West Pennine area using local traffic free tracks and shared cycleways. Surfaces are mixed, largely unbound and wider tyres are recommended.
Running North and South alongside the chain of reservoirs we avoid the steepest hills and yet enjoy a typical cross section of this landscape.
Some short lengths of local lanes with traffic are used to connect cycleways.
