Riparian Ride to Hampton Court

A lovely riverside ride from Shepperton to Hampton Court. Speed is not an issue since it’s nearly all shared access pathways where pedestrians have priority. And what can be better than a choice of cake stops half way through! MEETING: The Greeno Centre, Glebeland Gardens, Shepperton [The Greeno Centre is sheltered housing at the far end of Glebeland Gardens, a narrow road opposite Prezzo and a car showroom] TW17 9DH. Starting with very short on-road section to Walton bridge we drop down onto the towpath. Passing Shepperton marina it’s over the wooden bridge, past the Anglers pub and on to Sunbury lock (dismount). Staying on the towpath (and being careful of tree roots) we carry on through Hurst park to Molesey for coffee either at the Cricket club or in the High Street. If you prefer we can carry on along the riverside to Kingston Bridge and back to Hampton Court via Bushy Park. Return to Greeno Centre. Under 18s need to wear a helmet but they are optional for adults. Some parts of the route may be muddy.
