Starting point

Devon
PL7 4NW

This ride is an extended version of a regular ride to take in the excellent Ringfeeder Cafe on the Modbury road. Also, to make the start and finish more accessible, we’ll be setting off from the cycle hire shop at Coypool Park and Ride.
Heading up to Yelverton on the Plymbridge Trail we’ll then make a loop of Burrator Reservoir and climb over the challenging hill at Sheepstor.
Following the edge of the moor we take in Cadover, Wotter, Dragon Hill (down) to a brief rest stop at Cornwood.
Continuing on to, and through, Ivybridge we begin a steady uphill to Wrangaton before turning toward California Cross and our Lunch stop.
Fully refreshed we begin our return bypassing Modbury and climbing back to the other side of Ivybridge through Ermington. From Ivybridge we’re back on our regular return along NCN27 and on to Sherford before getting back to our start point on the Embankment cycle path.
All in all, not the most difficult ride but not without its challenges and definitely going to get the heart pumping to get the week off to an active start.
It’s worth mentioning that our refreshment stop is some way into the ride so some snacks for the trip are definitely worth carrying.
