In 2016, Kajsa Tylen set a new Guinness World Record for the Furthest Distance Cycled in a Year by a Woman. She clocked up 52,025 km (32,326 miles) in those 365 days, and battled injuries as well as the weather to achieve her goal.

What makes Kajsa’s achievement more extraordinary is that when she started off on the 1st of January 2016, she had only been cycling for just over 3 years.

Better still come and cycle with her in our beautiful home county of Yorkshire!

2 of the best on this ride.
Not only will you be able to chat with Kajsa about her 32,000mile journey BUT we also have the wonderful climbing and coaching talents of Mick ‘mountain goat’ Hobster, who has a cycling story of his own to tell.

This route has been chosen for it’s ‘little triumphs’ (undulations, bumps in the road….ok a couple of hills) as on route Mick will impart some of his climbing techniques to help glide up the triumphs in front of us.

This is a road ride. We will ride as a group and no one is left behind.

From Pugney’s Country Park we follow Denby Dale Road along the main road up to Bretton Roundabout, going straight across and down the other side turning Left onto Litherop Lane.
At High Hoyland we bear Right then Left onto High Hoyland Lane/ New Road. Keep your eye out for the Left turn into Cannon Hall and our refreshment stop.
After a brew it’s back out the way we came turning Left back onto New Road, follow to the T junction and Left onto Barnsley Road.
Passing through Cawthorne at Barugh Green we turn Left onto Barugh Lane, then first exit off roundabout followed by first Right onto Dearne Hill Road. Follow all way to T junction, turning Left onto Barnsley Road. At the junction of A61 (Barnsley Road) and A6168 (Asdale Road) we turn left along Asdale Road back to Pugneys

Any issues on the day please contact me on 07761302552

We will have a refreshments stop at Cannon Hall (8 miles in)
