The ride will leave Robin Park and follow the River Douglas to the Leeds and Liverpool Canal towpath and climb up some of the locks of the Wigan Flight to cycle route 55 through to Amberswood, Low Hall , then Fir Tree Flash to our destination.

The return route will be on the towpath and may be via Crankwood.

Barriers - there are numerous barriers on this ride.

As usual photos will be taken on the ride and will be put on the Wigan and Leigh Cycling Group Facebook page - please notify the ride leaders if you do not want your photo taken.

The ride is a mixture of canal towpath, quiet roads, short stretches of busy roads and tracks and trails.

There will be short stops en route and a longer stop for refreshments at our destination.

Please bring drinks/snacks or money to buy them. Helmets must be worn on this ride. Please ensure that your lights are in working order.

New riders are welcome on our rides and we never leave anyone behind.
