Transporter Bridge

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT a Sky Ride, this is a social ride organised by Tees Valley Riders. Check out our websites for further details. You MUST wear a helmet on TVR rides. http://www.teesvalleyriders.org.uk http://www.facebook.com/teesvalleyriders Starting from the Transporter Bridge, this ride goes around the riverside, across Newport Bridge, through the Haverton Hill industrial area, through Port Clarence, then stops at the RSPB Saltholme bird sanctuary. Time for a cafe break here before returning the route in reverse. Note that rides through November are subject to the weather and will have a later start time of 10:30. Start:- Middlesbrough Transporter Bridge Ride level:- 2 (BLUE) Terrain:- A very flat route on road & cycle paths, and a little off-road section at the rear of Saltholme, which isn’t suitable for bikes with thin tyres. Distance:- 14 miles Pace:- 11 mph avg Time:- 3 hours (including café stop)
