A ride up through Enfield, using the cycle path along the New River to reach cycle route 12
passing through the Forty Hall estate Hilly Fields and Enfield Chase. The first climb is from
the Enfield Chase greenway to Trent Park. The route continues along the edge of Monken Hadley Common with a second climb up to High Barnet. The return is via a section of route 85 through the Dollis Valley, cutting off uphill to the High Road, where we cross and descend to Oakhill Park, Waterfall Walk and Arnos Park, returning through Palmers Green to Firs Farm.
This is an Intermediate bike ride (according to Komoot).
Good fitness is required as there are 5 hills, the most challenging on the approach to Barnet.
We will take our time on the hills and wait at the top for slower riders.
This ride is a mix of cycle paths, cycleways and quiet roads. Large sections of the paths are unpaved or gravel.
We will stop for refreshments at a café, either in Trent Park or Barnet, depending on the preferences of the group, the weather and our progress on the day.
Toilets will be available at the start and finish and optionally at Trent Park and Barnet.

Please wear a helmet, bring lots of water to stay hydrated, snacks if required and
wear suitable clothing for the time of year.
Please ensure your bike is in good working order with brakes and gears fully functioning.
Also make sure you carry a spare inner tube in case of a puncture.
