Ride to Aston Pottery for tea in their beautiful Gardens.

We leave Little Barrington on Middle Road and head to Burford. We cross the high street (a dog leg cross) and cycle along towards Swinbrook. By the cricket pitch we head up to the A40 and cross here using the feeder lane. Then we pass through Shilton, Alevscot, Black Bourton, At Black Bourton they have a very interesting church to visit- see below. Then Bampton and finally Aston Pottery. Coffee and gardens is at 15.42 miles.
The return route is via Bampton, Clanfield, RAF Broadwell, Holwell and Westwell. A vigilant rider may be lucky enough to spot some giraffes. Finally back to Little Barrington.

The gardens are fabulous and hopefully they will be blooming, especially as the summer has been rather fierce for plants.

Black Bourton church has medieval paintings and carved corbels so is worth a visit as we pass.
Historic churches. Over the course of the year some rides will stop at some interesting churches in the locality. We will spend about 5 minutes depending on the interest of the group. There is usually a collection box inside if you wish to use it.

This is a circular route to Aston Pottery

Cycling along mostly quiet country lanes, crossing A40 and B4425 and then cycling along the B4020, A4095 (this is a fairly quiet A road) and the B4449. Then a very short distance on the A40 A361 and A424 at Burford.
