A circular ride along the Red Squirrel Route plus a loop in Alverstone, on cycle track, byways and lanes, with a stop near the end to enjoy Archie's summer barbecue. Bring means to pay for food and drinks if you'd like to enjoy supper. The ride has some challenging hills, and parts are rough under tyre. Please make sure your bike is in good shape before you come as we shall not be able to lend a physical hand to fix problems, because of covid -19 precautions. We shall be maintaining social distancing, please bring own hand-cleanser. We'll be outside throughout, so masks not obligatory.

Explore the lanes and byways behind the bay area

Mostly Traffic free on Red Squirrel and Newport-Sandown tracks and gravelly byways, a few quiet lanes around Alverstone.

We'll end up at Archie's by Redway, to enjoy their Saturday BBQ. We'll stop before that for en route refreshments, bring own cake

Much of route is gravel surface, pref wear helmets. Bring drinks and snacks for mid-ride refreshment. Bring means of payment for BBQ at end
