Step back in time with Ride Leicester Ride Leaders on this fascinating Wartime Ride as we explore the city’s historic World War I and World War II sites and buildings. This guided cycling tour brings powerful stories to life, uncovering compelling tales of recruitment offices, military hospitals, bombing raids, American GIs and of course the Royal Leicestershire Regiment.

We will visit significant landmarks including the magnificent Leicester War Memorial designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. Included in this year's ride will be a stop at the Newarke Houses Museum, home to Leicester’s military collections, and a visit to Braunstone Stables Museum which commemorates the presence of the American 82nd Airborne Division during World War II.

The Braunstone History Group will be opening the Braunstone Stables Museum for a museum open day on the 13th June and tea and coffee will be available for a small charge when we visit so please bring some money if you would like to buy refreshments during this stop.

Children under the age of 16 must be wearing a helmet and be accompanied by an adult.

Unfortunately we are unable to loan bikes for this ride.

First timers welcome!
