In 1972 the arrival of over 10,000 Asians expelled from Uganda changed Leicester forever. Housed in the Belgrave area of the city, the new communities injected new faiths, new cultures, new fashions and new foods into the once derelict neighbourhood. Join Hidden Histories’ Jim Butler and discover the story of the birth and impacts of the city’s world-famous Golden Mile.
