Follow the route of the Leicester to Swannington Railway Line from the Canalside Coal Wharf that helped keep Londoners warm to Glenfield Tunnel. One of the world’s first routes for the new-fangled technology of coal-powered steam railways that heralded the industrial revolution and changed the planet in the early 19th Century.
This ride includes a guided tour of the tunnel. Bring torches, a fully charged camera and a sense of history on your doorstep.
Children under the age of 16 must be wearing a helmet and be accompanied by an adult.
