Join the Ride Leicester team on this relaxed cycle tour along Leicester’s waterways, guided by Sue Willis from the East Midlands Region of the Canal & River Trust. Along the route, you’ll discover the fascinating history of the Grand Union Canal and its arrival in Leicester in 1794.

Learn about the canal’s vital role in the Industrial Revolution, gain insight into life on the water for those who worked the boats, and explore some of the historic buildings that line this iconic waterway.

This ride is ideal for families looking to enjoy the outdoors, learn something new, and experience cycling along Leicester’s waterways together.

Children under the age of 16 must be wearing a helmet and be accompanied by an adult.
