Join Ride Leicester Ride Leaders for a family friendly bike ride to Abbey Pumping Station, followed by an exclusive Steam with the Team tour of the historic Beam Engine in action. Perfect for adults and children aged 10+, this experience combines a relaxed cycle ride with hands-on industrial heritage.

Discover how this magnificent Victorian engine once powered the city and see it working live inside one of Leicester’s most iconic landmarks. Expect a brilliant mix of cycling, history, and behind-the-scenes discovery with access to areas not normally open to the public. The tour will last approximately one hour.

The Beam Engine tour will be free of charge for participants on this ride, however places are limited and booking is essential so please ensure that you have booked onto this ride to secure your place on the tour.

Please bring a bike lock.

Children age 10+ are welcome on this ride but must be accompanied by an adult if under the age of 16. Children must also be wearing a helmet.
