Why not do something different with your bike riding?

The setting of the sun on the longest day of the year is a moment to savour. Join us on the day of the Summer Solstice for a late evening bike ride to take in this special sight. We start from the Beefeater at Morton Park and follow our usual route via Haughton and Five Arches, through North Park and along the Faverdale Black Path before riding up onto the top of West Park and taking in the sunset. We’ll then ride down to The White Heifer pub for a little stopover, before taking the route in reverse back to the Beefeater, or you peel off and go your own way home.

Remember you’ll need lights on your bike and you may need to wear clothing suitable for cooler weather, as once the sun goes down, it will be cooler, even at this time of year.

A special ride to see the sunset on the longest day of the year!

All on the roads or cycleways

Stopover at The White Heifer pub

Helmets essential. Lock and payment method for the pub is a good idea.

We especially welcome newbies!
