A new take on one of old favourites! Starting from outside B&Q at Morton Park, we ride west out of Darlington via Firthmoor and down through Hurworth and Croft, then taking the country lanes through Newton Morrell and Barton, underneath the A1 and up through Melsonby, before heading north through East Layton and Forcett, before arriving at our stopover point at the Eppley Village Tea Rooms. The return route brings us east back through Manfield, Cleasby and Stapleton, before joining back up with Darlington again through Blackwell, then riding through South Park on our way back to B&Q.

This ride is classed as a CHALLENGING ride which is nearly 30 miles in total. The ride is undulating with some hill climbs. The ride is all on the road or cycleways. All bike types suitable for this ride, hybrid or road bikes recommended. It is suitable for riders who are comfortable sustaining at least 10mph avg. and can continually cycle for around 2 hours each way. The stopover on this ride will be up to an hour. Bear in mind these times are a guide, and the ride can take longer.
