Northallerton

If you have tackled the ‘"Wiske" around the Countryside’ route and fancy a real challenge come and stretch your legs with us on this 25 mile route from Northallerton.  Within 2 miles of the Hambleton Leisure Centre we will be out of the town, off the Stokesley Road and heading down the beautiful and quiet local lanes as we meander our way to East Rounton. At 14 miles we will have the opportunity for a break in the ride and a refreshment stop at the Roots Farm Shop and Café (remember to bring some money if you are not packing your own snacks).  Having had time for a chat and a bite to eat, we will get back on the bikes and travel past West Rounton, through Appleton Wiske, Deighton and Brompton as we make our way back to Northallerton. This is a perfect rolling route, ideal for road bikes (but suitable for all) and great for a blast out in the fresh air.  Come and challenge yourself on this ride with some great countryside views in great company! You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour.
