Rickmansworth Aquadrome Car Park. Free parking all day. 5 minutes cycle from Rickmansworth Station

Dust off your road bike and come and join me on this lovely ride into the Chilterns. (Hybrids suitable too but you’ll struggle on a mountain bike). This is a great training ride for anyone planning on doing a Sportive in the summer. We will leave the Aquadrome and cycle through Heronsgate and Chorleywood to Little Chalfont. From Little Chalfont we will cycle through Amersham and Hyde Heath to Little Missenden where we will take a refreshment break if anywhere is open. From Little Missenden we will return via the other side of the valley passing through beautiful Chiltern villages such as Penn Street and Winchmore Hill and eventually through Chalfont St Giles before returning to Rickmansworth. Essential Points Please ensure you pump your tyres before you come out – it makes such a difference and reduces your likelihood of a puncture. As a guide hybrid tyres usually need 70 psi and road tyres 110 psi. If in doubt look on the wall of your tyre – it is usually printed there. Bring a spare inner tube, pump, water and a snack.
