Starting point

SW15 5JS

Roehampton Gate café, Richmond Park, Wandsworth, Wandsworth, Greater London,

This is an approved route that I am pre-riding this is the first time that I am riding this route so therefore please expect that there may be some stop/starting in order to check from time to time that we are on course and pace will be fairly leisurely. Please note that I have possibly be over generous in time allowed for this ride. We will have a cafe stop at Boxhill. Looping some of Surrey's most challenging terrain this 50 miler follows much of the 2012 Olympic route popular with local cyclists. Roads vary from urban Kingston to single lane country tracks with plenty of opportunities to raise the pace. Along the way there are ups and downs to prep your legs for the challenge of the Box Hill zig zags. Richmond, North Sheen, Mortlake and Barnes stations are within a short ride from the start/finish point in Richmond park and if you should need an unplanned exit the route passes near Kingston, Walton on Thames, Effingham, Westhumble, Leatherhead, Oxshot, Esher, Hampton Court, and Hampton Wick stations.
