Starting point

London
TW9 1EZ

A short bit of nasty traffic (sorry) but we soon turn onto back streets for a bit of a climb which is rewarded as the view opens out to most of Surrey. Into Richmond Park and a traffic-free (at weekends) road with more views. Another traffic-free climb to White Lodge - 18c Royal property now home of Royal Ballet School rewarded by a coffee break overlooking Pen Ponds. Return along the improved river path.

Only 8 miles and the moderate hills give great views.

Wonderful scenery without leaving London. Wide views, wild deer and 17/18c houses.

Just over half traffic free but all tarmac so any bike.

Coffee break

We never leave anyone behind
