MEET AT WITTON PARK ARENA CAR PARK.
Come along and enjoy a super christmassy sleigh ride with gold frankincense and myrrh as we visit the cafe at Ribchester and enjoy a 30 mile leg stretch to celebrate the start of days getting longer
We go through the park befoer climbing to Billinge and down via Beardwood. Then onto Whinney Lane where we climb to Mellor before dropping down to Mellor Brook, round and briefly onto the A59 before turning left onto Barker Brow and the village of Ribchester. 2 years ago this was under water and we will hope that this time it can be a bit drier.
After our re-fuel we climb up past Stydd and then return via Gallows Lane to cross the river again and turn left to Dinckley. Back along the lanes to Langho we then climb to the top of Painter Wood before dropping down via Sunnybower to Blackburn and Witton Park.
Total distance 29 miles with 2200 feet of climbing
