If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way. Rides are between 6 and 20 miles long, at a moderate pace of between 7 and 10 miles an hour. Get behind your Tour of Britain team with this celebratory bike ride and a chance to spin your wheels like a pro! The Tour of Britain is the UK’s biggest professional bike race with challenging hills, stunning countryside and famous riders from all over the world taking part. This year’s tour will see Olympic medallist Bradley Wiggins and stage winner of the Tour de France Mark Cavendish take part in the gruelling bike race. Millions will flock to the road side to catch a glimpse of the 195 riders and thousands will be watching the excitement from their seats at home. A rolling ride around the periphery of the Lancashire market town of Clitheroe. There are no big climbs on this route but the route does roll and has some sharp rises. The main stop is 5 miles in at Bashall's Barn (awarded best on farm restaurant). There are also two nice pubs with outdoor seating in the village of Waddington (7 miles in).  See some stunning scenery whilst you explore the villages to the North and West of Clitheroe, looking across towards Pendle hill.
