Leyland

This 32 mile route explores the great cycling country to the south of Preston. The route follows an anticlockwise loop, heading west to Croston before turning south towards Mawdesley and Wrightington Bar. Your route then turns east heading across the M6 through Coppull and Adlington before stopping at Rivington Barn at the foot of the mighty Winter Hill, visible for miles around. From Rivington you'll then head north through Chorley and Whittle le Woods, before cutting west back to Leyland. Highlights along the way include the Botany Bay heritage experience, Anderton's Mill and the inspiring sight of Winter Hill from Rivington Barn. Make no mistake, this is a grand day out in Lancashire.
