Red - Saturday Spin 12+ mph 30ish miles

Not an early breakfast, this time a 9.30 am meet. Aiming for 12 mph average, this route will be a mix of mostly quieter lanes and some busy roads. We will head out towards Knebworth, Aston, Watton and then Whitwell taking in views of some stunning golden fields. Cafe stop at Emily's Tea Shop for a break and natter before returning back to Loafing. Stop will be approximately two thirds of the way round. There will be hills, no worries we always regroup at the top. :) Please do bring plenty to drink and some snacks.

Start is outside Loafing (The Bakery) in Wheathampstead at 9.30am.

Public car park, toilet and also plenty of street parking available nearby.

Please do check your emails and text messages before leaving, I may have to cancel the ride if it is not safe for us to ride. Fingers crossed :)

The important bits:

Do ensure your bike is in good working order and you have an emergency backup/taxi number to call on in case of issues.

Ride Related:
- check your bike the night before (Tyre pressure will go down when your bike has not been used or from use!)
- carry 2 spare inner tubes, tyre levers and correct pump
- Money for coffee/emergencies. Helmet (compulsory on ride-sorry!)
- Water and a snack, just in case
- Appropriate bright and warm clothing (Rain/Sun – hopefully the latter)
- Lights (not essential but a plus in winter)
