Bexleyheath Rail Station

About 25 miles, gentle to moderate pace, mostly on quiet roads, some hills. Stops at tea rooms – perhaps for late breakfast, certainly for lunch. Return around 15:30, or later depending on stops. Hopefully, good views across London (weather permitting), and possibly including spectacular field of red poppies. This is a `Bike-Week' ride. It shows some of the quieter ways to cross over the motorways and railways in the southern part of Bexley borough. Probable route via Midhurst Bridge, Albany Park, Footscray Meadows, Ruxley, St Mary Cray, Chelsfield; return via Farnborough, Petts Wood, Scadbury Park and Penfold Lane. A sketch of route is here: http://goo.gl/maps/EYczc Please send an email to [email protected] if you are likely to come, or if you have any queries.
