About the route
A gentle flattish route to Bolton Abbey. Leave Menston via Menston Old lane and head through the village of Burley in Wharfedale. Next section is on the busy A65 but thankfully isn't for long before we reach the quieter back roads from Ilkley to Bolton Abbey. The autumn colours should still be there for us as we ride along the valley. Our cafe stop is at Cavendish pavilion - great views of the abbey and the river Wharfe from here. We return the same way unless anyone wants to tackle hilly Langbar on the way home!
