Starting point

KT2 5BH

YMCA Hawker Centre, Lower Ham Road.

We will link these two routes along the river Thames, making it a longer ride. # 12: A Taste of Ham, A lovely gentle ride along the Thames from behind the Hawker Centre up to Ham House going past Teddington Lock, Ham Nature Reserve and Eel Pie Island. Here you can see a classic car in the back garden of Trevor Bayliss - the inventor of the wind-up radio, before we finally arrive at Ham House. No Ham or Eels to be eaten though so bring a snack and a drink for our short stop on the grass in front of the lovely Ham House. # 13: The Boat Race, This is a lovely flat off-road ride along the River Thames - perfect for anyone looking for some weekend fresh air and gentle exercise. We'll take in much of the four or so miles covered by the competitiors in the annual Varsity Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge. It's a lot easier by bike!
