You don't have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you'll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you're comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour. This is a challenging ride exploring the Back Lanes (literally - there are two of them on the route) of the Western parishes, some with quaint & quirky names. Along the route we'll ride through the villages of Eccleston, home of Sir Bradley Wiggins, and Mawdesley as we pass through part of the West Lancashire plains. There will be the opportunity to stop for a well earned cup of tea and slice of cake at the Owd Barn Tea Shop before heading back to the start point at Coppull Community Leisure Centre.
