Quest for the Summer Wine

You don’t have to be the next Bradley Wiggins, but you’ll need to know your way around a bike and be fairly fit to take part in our Challenging rides. If you’re comfortable riding with other people and fancy a fresh challenge, these rides are perfect for you. They start at around twenty miles long, and are paced at between 11 and 12 miles an hour. Come and join us on this fantastic challenging ride taking in 27 amazing miles around the Kirklees district.  As anybody from the area will know Huddersfield is hilly and this ride really makes the most of this.  Climbing them can be a challenge, but a challenge that really is rewarded with stunning views across a beautiful West Yorkshire landscape.  Don't be put off though as there are plenty of flat sections in between hills to appreciate 'Last of the Summer Wine' country and as with all our rides, it's a bike ride we do together! This ride uses part of National Cycle Network (NCN) route 68.
