Starting from - Meet at: The Canalside Cafe, Gas Street Canal Basin off Broad St. Birmingham City Centre, B1 2JU – at the heart of the canal network and next to National Cycle Route 5 along Bridge St by the Hyatt Hotel. (Not far from New St, Snow Hill and Five Ways Railway Stations). Route: Approximately 10 miles there along canal towpaths via the Netherton Tunnel which is two miles long, so bring some lights! This route is very flat, if you would prefer not to go through the tunnel there is the option of going up and over, but this involves a very large hill! We never leave anyone behind on the rides and vary the pace to the needs of the riders. Meet from: 7:30pm set off 7:45pm. B1 2JU

Birmingham City Centre to the Black Country via canal towpaths. Join our friendly and welcoming group for a great ride this summer’s evenings. Destination: Ma Pardoe’s (Olde Swan) Netherton http://allgatesbrewery.com/allgates-brewery-blog/2010/09/my-favourite-pubs-the-seventh-of-a-few-the-old-swan-netherton Route: Approximately 10 miles there along canal towpaths via the Netherton Tunnel which is two miles long, so bring some lights! This route is very flat, if you would prefer not to go through the tunnel there is the option of going up and over, but this involves a very large hill! We never leave anyone behind on the rides and vary the pace to the needs of the riders. Meet from: 7:30pm set off 7:45pm. Lights and a lock are needed. It is worth bringing some extra layers of clothing with you as the temperature can drop after sunset and some water proofs in case of rain. We normally stay at the destination until around 10:30 – 11:15pm, we will try and pair you up with a member of the group for your return journey home were possible, as we all live in different directions. It is fine to return back home as soon as we arrive at the destination if you need to be home earlier. There is the option of getting a train back into Birmingham and Shirley from Old Hill Railway Station, Bicycles are carried free of charge on local train services.
