This Ribble Valley Juniors Cycling Club ride is open for anyone to join

Led by experienced ride leaders, these rides are a great way to explore new places and to meet new people who enjoy cycling. They are suitable for all levels of experience, so whether you are a beginner or a seasoned cyclist, you can find a ride that is right for you.

The route explores the Preston Western Area.

The route commences from the Pavilion Cafe in Avenham Park

We will head out Via the Guild Wheel Past the Docks, before picking up cycleways alongside Edith Rigby Way & William Young Way. Nr to Preston Grasshoppers we will pick up some quiet Lanes and then cycleways to head back towards UCLAN. (This will include one short muddy section !!!).....cycleway not quite joined up yet. We will then head along the canal to the end nr Aqueduct street before heading back to the start point Via some back Roads.

Parking is available to the West of the Park on Broadgate (PR1 9QH) or Alternatively there is a small Car Park nr Christ the King Catholic School off the Esplanade (PR1 4LX). This car park has a low barrier so please be careful if transporting bikes on the roof.

We will mostly be riding on Cycleway, Quiet Lanes, Canal Tow-Paths and back Roads.

There will be a few small stops to gather our thoughts and take the odd photo, but no cafe stop is planned

Please ensure you bring Spare Inner Tubes, Drinks and Snacks.......and don't forget your Helmet
