This Sky Ride Local ride is part of the Breeze Challenge Event and Family Cycling Festival. (Find out more at www.breezechallenge.com) Why not make a day of it and join the celebration at the Breeze Challenge Event Village, hosted at UCLAN Sports Arena in Preston from 11am-4pm. No Parking will be available at UCLAN so please print out the following to put in your windscreen to park at Ashton Community Science College, PR2 1SL. Activities include the cycle obstacle course, circus skills, pedal-powered smoothies, bouncy castles, face painting, arts & crafts and much more. Bring the family – everyone welcome! This gentle two and a half mile family ride starts from the UCLan Sports Arena and heads slowly onto the Lancaster Canal tow path.  This newly laid grass verge, running along the waters edge, makes a lovely and peaceful environment for a bike ride.  From the canal, the ride heads through the woodland of Haslam Park as we wind our way towards and around the large duck pond in the centre of the park for a nice relaxing break.  We complete the circular route by heading back along Britain's newest inland waterway, the Millennium Ribble Link. A great route which families can enjoy time and time again.
